Notes
ARTemis is a database recording clinical data of HIV infected patients in the Department of Health clinics in Hlabisa Health District. This variable indicates if a TasP registered individuals has been linked to the ARTemis database. Linkage is done using a complex algorithm taking into account available information regarding last name, first name, sex, date of birth and south african ID number. In some cases, the algorithm fails to link an individual between the two database. Therefore, there are few individuals not linked to ARTemis even if they are in HIV care in DoH clinics.
